WHAT IS TRADITIONAL?
It can be friendly and casual, or funny, or elegant and simple - anything you like. Be yourselves with a ceremony you have approved and it will be just perfect!!
CAN YOU HELP US WRITE OUR VOWS?
Yes! I can also give you some guidelines or examples if you wish to stay traditional.
DO YOU BRING A COPY ON THE DAY?
Yes I like to bring a copy in case they get forgotten on the day - believe me, it does happen!
HOW LONG DOES A WEDDING CEREMONY USUALLY TAKE?
Approximately 30 mins - that’s from the time the bride starts her walk down the aisle, the signing of the documentation and your walk out as Husband and Wife. This is usually a great length of time for all, although if rituals are included the ceremony may be a few minutes longer.
SHALL WE HAVE A BACKUP PLAN?
Most definitely! One thing we can never predict is the weather!! You won’t regret having that "just-in-case" plan. It may be that it’s at the same venue just in a different location. Bear in mind I will need to know this and so will the guests.
SHOULD WE PROVIDE MOOD MUSIC PRIOR TO THE CEREMONY? WHAT DO WE CHOOSE?
Everyone loves music and what better way to relax your anticipating guests by sharing some of your favourites and maybe one or 2 of theirs. Music sets the scene of any event so let it do this for yours.
NB: you might also like to consider a song for the signing of the legalities and your exit.
HOW LATE SHOULD I BE?
Lets be honest, its traditional to be late. Bear in mind thought that your guests may have traveled, it may be hot or very cold and your Husband-to-be is nervous enough. Try to be on time or as close to. Its important to show your guests you respect that they have come to share your day, don’t make them wait too long.
DO WE NEED A REHEARSAL?
Sure do. It helps calm the nerves of the Bridal party and usually whoever is giving this beautiful Lady away. It gives you time to rehearse the aisle walk to the music and a great idea if there are children involved in the wedding party so they are aware of what when and how they are going to be part of this special occasion.
DO YOU SUPPLY A SIGNING TABLE & CHAIR?
Usually the bridal party will do this however I am happy to sort one out if we need to.
WHAT DO YOU WEAR?
I always make every effort to co-ordinate as best I can to your bridal colours and styles so tell me what colours your bridesmaids are wearing, what flowers you will carry, and the theme of your wedding so I can fit in as best I can.
